Description
Deep forests, three crackling tiled stoves and absolute tranquility: Annelund is an original red Swedish house from 1912 on a 3,700-square-meter secluded forest property in Ålkärr near Gullspång – no direct neighbors, just nature. Three historic fireplaces, a large wooden terrace and two lakes (Skagern and Vänern) nearby make Annelund the perfect retreat for nature lovers, families and anglers – in all seasons. The space Annelund is an original red Swedish house from 1912 – fully preserved, lovingly maintained, equipped with all the modern comforts you need for a relaxing stay. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by a spacious entrance hall with a large wardrobe – enough space for hiking equipment, fishing gear and rubber boots. Ground floor: A cozy living room with a beautiful, fully functional historic tiled stove invites you to spend long autumn evenings. The well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and large dining table provides room for the whole family. There is also a bedroom with its own fireplace, a large bathroom with shower, toilet, washing machine and underfloor heating. Upper floor: Under charming sloping ceilings is a second bright bedroom overlooking the treetops and a clean bathroom with a modern shower stall. Sleeping accommodations: 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed (180 × 200 cm and 160 × 200 cm) – comfortably accommodates up to 4 people. The special feature: a total of three working fireplaces – a rare feature that makes Annelund a real four-season house. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire usable living area and the entire 3,700-square-meter forest property. Parking is available directly at the house in the grounds. Other things to note Good to know: An additional BD and a roof terrace are still under construction. These rooms are neatly separated by doors and are not accessible during your stay – no work will be done during this time either. For your vacation, this means complete peace and quiet, without the feeling of being on a construction site. We look forward to offering this extension in a future season. Bed linen & towels: In Sweden, it is customary to bring your own bed linen and towels - laundry costs in the country are high, so we deliberately keep the price per night low. If you bring your own linens, you save money. If you prefer complete convenience, you can simply book them as an option for €15 per person per stay – please specify when booking. Firewood: Upon request, our neighbor Jonas provides local firewood for a small surcharge – the most important fuel for cozy evenings by the stoves. Heating: The house can also be used during the transitional seasons. The three wood-burning stoves and the heat pump ensure pleasant temperatures. Car required: Unfortunately, there are no good public transport connections, so your own car is absolutely necessary for travel and excursions. Internet: There is no Wi-Fi yet, but there is usually very good 5G reception (depending on the provider), so you can go online via a hotspot if necessary. If you want to unwind, you will find a real digital detox here. Safety: Smoke detectors are installed in the house.
