Pure nature, seclusion, lovely cultural landscape, cows, nice neighbors, hiking paradise - nearby is Rodenstein Castle, Lindenfels Castle, the Kaiserturm and the Felsenmeer. Perfect for families and groups. However, no parties and events. The space The house was built in 1968 by my father, an architect, and is located in a valley in the middle of a cultural landscape. The nearest settlement is about 2 kilometers away. In the morning you have sun on the terrace - garden chairs and an extendable table as well as a wooden Hollywood swing are available. The associated area is 2500 sqm including water terrace, small stream, carport and tool shed. In the house itself, the kitchen is fully equipped plus oven, refrigerator, but no microwave and no dishwasher. If it is too cold in the evening, you can turn on the fireplace or tiled stove. The large table in the dining room is extendable. We are a dog-friendly house - dogs can roam freely on the premises, but it is not fenced. Also, we have bees and make our own honey. Please bring bed linens and towels. If necessary, there are also some in the house. If you use them, there would be a cleaning fee. Please ask me. In the off-peak times in spring and autumn it gets colder, as we are in the low mountain range and the house is not so well insulated - built in 1968 with lime sandstone. You would have to heat with wood and a tiled stove and fireplace. For that I would have to collect an extra donation for the wood. Leisure activities: Our house is surrounded by nature, from where you can start hiking directly - for example to the castle ruins Rodenstein in Fränkisch-Crumbach, to the imperial tower in Winterkasten or to the castle Lindenfels. In Reichelsheim itself there is a swimming pool. A little further you can splash in the Marbachsee. I can also name a farm where you can rent fjord horses for riding (without prior knowledge). There is internet in the house. TV with all programs works. Board games, darts, music system (old school with CD + radio) plus badminton and ping-pong drive away boredom. Barbecue available. Detailed hiking maps and travel guides for the Odenwald and the surrounding area are available in the house. I will also send you my personal guidebook. Other things to note The mobile phone network supply is weak - but it works (depending on where you are positioned). Please remember the bed linen and fitted sheets (all 90/100 except for a double 1.60 meters wide) and the towels. In exceptional cases, I can lend you a set of bed linen/fitted sheets and towels for a fee of 10 euros per person. Blankets and dish towels are in the house. Slippers and hiking boots as well as rainwear are usually good utensils that you can bring with you. The boiler contains 30 liters of hot water - so you have to wait a little if someone has showered... Water comes from its own source! In the colder seasons, you have to (pre)heat in addition to the night storage stoves with tiled stove and fireplace. For wood consumption, I would charge an additional 15 euros per day, which you can give me on site!
