The space Small (18ft x 6f 6 inches) but perfectly formed, Bramley, our Shepherd's Hut has been hand made by a local Kent craftsman in traditional style with its oak axles and metal wheels using original 19th century plans. No longer a humble hut for a shepherd during the lambing season it's been brought up to date though as it is fully insulated from the elements, has a mains connected shower, Wi-Fi, a small microwave and a fridge for your evening wine! Although it wasn't towed into position by a horse it hasn't lost its period charm as it has lovely tongue and grooved boarding throughout, a wooden shutter on the bed window and of course the obligatory wood burner! We hope you enjoy the spot we have chosen at the top of our Orchard with its outlook over neighbouring fields…and next to our favourite Bramley apple tree. If you want a more adventurous glamping visit to Wilderness and the Weald of Kent… The Shepherd's Hut is the place to stay. Enjoy the tranquility of our garden in the evenings. One for the glampers amongst you! Guest access Guests have exclusive access to The Shepherd's Hut and it's own en-suite shower room. Other things to note A continental breakfast is available at an extra cost. Covid-19 Response; We have given much thought and planning to implement new requirements, ensuring your staying is not only relaxed but safe. We only offer self-contained units totally separate from the main house and hence we are offering a low risk escape into the countryside – something so many could benefit from at this time. We have always prided ourselves on the cleanliness of our rooms and therefore we are putting the following procedures in place; Thorough cleaning and sanitising routines in line with the recently issued Government and UK Hospitality guidelines, including regular disinfection of heavy touch points and high contact equipment. High temperature washing of all bed linen and towels. Extra cleaning materials, hand sanitiser and anti bacterial wipes. We trust you will understand that we will not perform a daily room service during your stay in order to protect your personal space. However new towels and other supplies will be available on request. To offer maximum protection for our guests decorative bed items (bed runners and cushions) will be removed from our beds.
