The adult only Sunset Meadow Anniversary Suite invites romance, relaxation, and reflection. It is one of Door County's finest restored cottages, exuding old fashioned charm and unique style. This private open concept cottage features hand hewn wood beams and floors, includes a sunroom, dining room, kitchen and stone fireplace. Centrally located between Ephraim & Fish Creek, it is close to all that beautiful Door County has to offer! Bike, Hike, Beach, Farmers Markets, Dine, Theater, Art. A bit of history... This 1939 home was moved from the Ephraim Wetlands Park to Peninsula Park-View and we carefully worked on it, for over four years, to recapture the warmth and ambiance of its era. The main rooms were carefully restored to the original condition. Each interior board was removed and then replaced after electrical and other upgrades were made. Original hand hewn beams add ambiance and the bright cheerful sun room, with the large sofa, provides a quiet place to read and relax. The original stone fireplace was converted to gas and can be enjoyed from the queen bed and the double whirlpool, which was added for ultimate luxury. Guests in this cottage enjoy a whirlpool, large stone fireplace, sunroom, A/C, Cable TV with VCR/DVD Player, WiFi. The kitchen includes a new gas stove with 4 burner stove and oven, microwave and under counter sized refrigerator and microwave. You will find a coffee maker, silverware, dishes, pots and pans, and toaster.  There are two entrances for your convenience. Guests relax in front of the fireplace after hiking, biking, snowshoeing, or cross country skiing in the 3,776 acre Peninsula State Park. The spacious private deck, with table and chairs, overlooks lawns that feature lovely flowers with no pesticides. Outside are shared charcoal grills, a fire pit, picnic tables and yard swings. It is near the large outdoor heated pool available for guests to use from Memorial through Labor Day. There are bicycles free for guest use in the nearby Park. Memorial - Labor Day, in the morning, we offer FTO coffee and Kringle from 8AM-10AM. The a Gathering Room with ping pong open 8AM - 10PM. This is an adult only unit. A romantic picnic package from a Door County Picnic is available by request. Located across from Highland Road, the quiet middle entrance, into Peninsula State Park. It is a wood and a nine iron from the championship golf course entrance. This rental is entirely private, no interior shared space with other guests. It is attached to the main building. Rental includes access to a seasonal heated outdoor pool with poolside gathering room (closed in the winter). There is parking right outside your door and additional parking for a boat. Guests need to check in with us upon arrival unless it's after 6 pm or, quiet season, then call us to make arrangements. In the summer we are normally available on site from 8AM until 6PM and often later. During the autumn, winter and spring seasons we are either on site or nearby. We will happily chat, answer questions, fix any problems should they arise, give directions, help book tickets, recommend restaurants - as much or as little interaction as you'd like. This is truly a lovely spot. Not only can guests reach all the best of Door County from this central location, but right across the street is beautiful 3,776 acre Peninsula State Park! The Park features miles and miles of trails for hiking and biking, award winning scenic Peninsula State Park Golf Course and newly added par 3 short course, Historic Light House, Nature Center, and last but not least a large wonderful sandy beach with silent sport rentals, or launch your own boat. Close by is the famous retro outdoor movie theater Skyway Drive-In. The Cottage is 5 minutes from Peninsula Art School, Door Community Auditorium and American Folklore Theaters. It is near wonderful galleries such as the 2forU Design & Gallery, Fine Line Designs, Hardy Gallery, and Edgewood Orchard Gallery among others. Guests are centrally located to all the shopping Door County has to offer. Guests enjoy the many beaches just minutes away. Parking is right outside the door with additional parking available for boats. Uber is now available in Door County. You can use the large yard for frisbie, walking, a picnic, or etc.. Rates are for 2 people. No additional guests are allowed. This cottage is non-smoking and no pets are allowed.
