Hutnianske Okna - The Last House in the Village
Hutnianske Okna - The Last House in the Village
Description
We are the last house in the village of Ropki. Behind us, the road ends, and the meadow, forest, and silence begin. Morning coffee with a view of the valley through a glass wall, and in the evening a campfire and the sky without a single light pole. The space The barn stands on a hill, at the very edge of the village - beyond that, there is nothing but a meadow and a forest. The day begins with what can be seen through the glass wall of the living room: the valley, the wooded slopes, and sometimes the fog that descends lower than us in the morning. The interior is bright and simple. A high ceiling under the ridge, a navy blue sofa, a wooden table for six people, designer lamps, and a wood-colored floor. Nothing here is loud – what's outside the window does all the work. There is a comfortable bed for two on the mezzanine, and there is a skylight just above it. On a cloudless night, you can see a lot of stars from here, because there isn't a single streetlight for miles around. 2-3 adults can sleep comfortably here: two on the mezzanine, one person on the sofa bed in the living room. There's also a fold-out chair upstairs - a good place for an older child to sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped: induction hob, oven, fridge, kettle - everything you need to cook dinner and eat it with a view. Bathroom with a shower. In the summer, you open the glass door and have a meadow right in front of you. Guest access The entire barn is just for you - it's a detached house, not shared with anyone. In addition, there is a private parking space by the house and access to a campfire on the property. Check-in is self-service with a code, so you can arrive at any time. The name comes from the Hutniańska Pass, where we are standing. On the same plot, there is a second, identical barn, run by our neighbors. Normally, we don't bother each other at all, but if you come in a larger group or as two families, you can rent both houses at once and have the whole hill to yourselves. Other things to note A few honest things so you know what to expect: - The mezzanine with the bedroom is accessed by stairs - it's part of the charm, but it's worth knowing. – The cell phone signal is very weak here. For us, it's an advantage (you'll really disconnect), but we're letting you know. There is high-speed internet, though. – The house stands high on a hill. In winter, we recommend a 4x4 vehicle or chains, as the access road can be covered in snow. – The campfire is at your disposal, but we use it responsibly and only in the designated area, in accordance with fire safety regulations (unfortunately, during periods of drought or when access to the forest is prohibited, we will not light a campfire). – Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 7:00am. This is a place for people who are looking for peace and quiet; we don't have loud parties here. We're glad you want to come here. If you have any questions, we're here to help.
