Summer idyll in Sponvika-hage, near the sea and Sweden

The perfect summer cottage for an extended family, several families on a trip or a group of friends – with a large garden, pizza oven, activities and a short distance to the sea, the forest and Sweden. Just 15 minutes to Svinesund and Nordby shopping centre, 20 minutes to Strömstad and 1 hour to Oslo. Halden, with Fredriksten Fortress, is 15 minutes away. Garden with good football opportunities, a gym in the garage and a lovely outdoor area. The boat launch 5 minutes away provides easy access to great trips on the lake. Contactless check-in and check-out The space Practical information Clean up: We clean the house, but we ask that the house be left tidy and in the same condition as on arrival – both inside and outside. Take out the rubbish and put the dishes in the dishwasher. If you have rented bed linen: We kindly ask that used bed linen be removed and placed in the laundry room at the end of your stay. Bed linen: Bed linen and towels are not included. Guests can bring their own bedding, or book pre-made beds with bed linen and towels for NOK 200 per person. The space The house is spread over two floors and offers plenty of space for larger groups. 1st floor: Here, you will find the entrance, the bathroom, and an open-plan living room and kitchen area with access to a spacious terrace. This floor has three bedrooms: * One bedroom with a 150-cm bed * One bedroom with a 120-cm bed * One bedroom with a 180-cm bed The bathroom on this floor is functional (toilet and washbasin), but of a somewhat older standard. Basement floor: The basement has full ceiling height and comprises a hallway, a bathroom, a laundry room with its own entrance, and two bedrooms/home cinema rooms. * One bedroom with a 180-cm bed * Cinema room with 120-cm bed In the laundry room there is an extra fridge, as well as an ice cube maker. ⸻ Outdoor area The terrace receives sunlight from morning to evening, and half of it is covered. Here you will find a great outdoor kitchen with a party cooler and pizza oven, as well as a dining area and a comfortable sofa set. ⸻ Grounds and facilities The property has a large lawn offering excellent opportunities for activities: * Two football goals * Trampoline * Gym in the garage * SUP board, kettlebell and various items in the gym that can be used There are also several seating areas around the property, as well as two hammocks on stands – perfect for relaxing. ⸻ Other One of the bedrooms has a light panel above the bed. This can be used at your own risk. Are you more than 10 guests? It is possible to add extra mattresses by prior arrangement. Additional fee for more than 10 people. Guest access Parking There are good parking options in the courtyard, with space for several cars. Electric car chargers that can be used for an additional fee of NOK 200 per charge, payable via Vipps. ⸻ Practical information The property is a personal home with a warm and cosy atmosphere. We are freeing up some cupboard and drawer space so that guests can easily unpack and feel at home. We ask for your understanding that the contents of lockers and drawers, such as clothes and other private items, are not to be used. A smaller storage room and one room will be locked and not available for guests. At the same time, we will be freeing up some cupboard and drawer space so that you can easily unpack and feel at home during your stay. Other things to note Additional sleeping arrangements The property can accommodate up to 10 people. For groups larger than this, we can provide three additional mattresses (see photos), as well as the option of using the sofa in the cinema room as a sleeping area. Further details will be agreed in advance of the stay. There is a supplement of NOK 400 per person per night for guests over and above 10 people.
