The apartment sits in the path of the total solar eclipse on August 12th, 2026. The moon covers the sun completely for 2 minutes and 5 seconds starting at 17:45. The Iceland Eclipse Festival in Hellissandur is a 10-minute drive. Bern, the name of the house, is one of the most historic buildings in Ólafsvík. On the top floor you have a view over the Breiðarfjörður to the north and the historic Fisherman’s garden to the south, you won't be disappointed.
