Tugela River Lodge: Rapids Cottage with Hot Tub

Tugela River Lodge is a pet friendly, self-catering Eco-Lodge, located on a private cattle and game farm on the banks of the Tugela River, near Winterton, KZN, South Africa. We run off solar and gas and invite guest to come and enjoy the quiet side of nature. Our lodge has access to many miles of trails for hiking, biking and running through our private game farm where one can get up close and personal with our resident giraffe. The sounds of the river are sure to put you to sleep at night! The space This unit is ideal for breaking up the long journey between Durban and JHB or for a couple or small family wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle. There is a king bed downstairs (which can be converted into two singles) in a spacious room with a fire place to warm the place up on those cold winter nights. The unit has its own self contained kitchen with a fridge and a gas stove. Like all the other cottages, it runs off solar power. There are also two single beds upstairs. No TV, WiFi or air conditioning. This is a quiet place to come to and put your phone away to disconnect to reconnect! Other things to note As we run off batteries you must not use the following items, or items similar to these: Portable coffee machines (Nespresso etc) Hairdryers Electric blankets Portable air conditioners Heaters Portable microwaves or stoves plates Car battery fridges or portable fridges Your own inverters or battery chargers If you plug these items into the system you run the risk of damaging our batteries, which are very expensive.
