Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a quiet drink with friends, this room adds a touch of luxury to your stay. 👨‍🍳 Commercial Kitchen One of the standout features of Walganbar House. This huge commercial-style kitchen is fully equipped for everything from family breakfasts to large group dinners. It includes two extra-large fridge/freezers, two wine fridges, a commercial gas stove and oven, a full-size electric stove and oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, air fryer, large hotplate, two sinks, and a huge walk-in pantry stocked with crockery, glassware, serving platters and entertaining equipment for up to 100 guests. 🔥 Fire Pit Gather around the fire pit overlooking the gorge and experience unforgettable evenings beneath a sky full of stars. It's one of the most popular spots on the property for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. 🧺 Laundry A fully equipped laundry with a washing machine, dryer and laundry sink is available for guests staying a little longer or travelling with family. 🚗 Parking & Access There is ample parking close to the house. Walganbar House also offers two wheelchair-accessible entrances via ramps, providing easy step-free access through both the front entrance and the side entrance near the entertaining deck. 🌄 Outdoor Spaces Set beside Carrs Lookout, Walganbar House is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, native wildlife and peaceful bushland. Spend your days enjoying the fresh country air, breathtaking sunsets and incredible stargazing from one of the most scenic locations in the Southern Downs. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire Walganbar House and surrounding grounds during their stay. This includes all bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, dining rooms, the fully equipped commercial kitchen, bar, laundry, entertaining deck, BBQ, pizza oven, fire pit, outdoor seating areas and parking. Guests are also welcome to explore the extensive bushland surrounding the property. Wander along the walking tracks, enjoy the peaceful mountain setting, take in the spectacular views over the gorge, and experience the native wildlife and birdlife that make Walganbar Retreat so special. We simply ask that guests respect the natural environment, supervise children at all times, and stay within the Walganbar property boundaries. With acres of private bushland to explore, Walganbar offers the perfect opportunity to disconnect, unwind and immerse yourself in nature—all without leaving the property. Walganbar Retreat offers the unique opportunity to book the entire property, including Walganbar House and all of our cabins, giving your group exclusive use of the retreat. If you're booking multiple accommodations for the same group, please contact us before booking. We may be able to offer a special group rate, subject to availability. It's the perfect way for everyone to stay together while still enjoying their own private space. Please note: Walganbar House and the cabins can be booked separately.
