Bed and Breakfast at Refugio Placaroja. Private room with a triple bunk bed with one bed per person, with or without bed linens included. You can also add an exquisite continental breakfast! Stay at our high-mountain refuge located in the heart of the Andes Mountains, with shared bathrooms, grills and terraces with panoramic views of the mountains and the San José de Maipo Volcano. Access to trekking, natural hot springs and unique landscapes just 2 hours from Santiago. The space Refugio Placaroja is located in the Lo Valdés sector. We are at an elevation where the electrical connection has not yet reached, so we supply ourselves independently, like everyone in the area, with solar panels and/or an electric generator. This forces us to maintain an electricity schedule, which is cut off from 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM (negotiable). For both systems, the following cannot be used: Hot beds Hair dryer Electric irons Electric kettle Electric grill Electric stoves This is due to the voltage and the power capacity of the systems. Regarding heating, the lodge has 3 slow-burning fireplaces, 2 on the first floor and 1 in one of the rooms. Depending on the temperatures, the staff will take care of keeping them running to keep the Retreat at the right temperature. We also remind you that the accommodation currently does not have Wi-Fi, but the cell phone signal is quite good and allows you to share internet for what you need. The rental of your room is exclusive. You could share the shelter with other guests staying in other rooms and with our staff. We recommend bringing some comfortable/lounge shoes to wear inside the retreat, as well as 24/7 sunscreen. Of course, check the forecast for temperatures and precipitation. In the case of the latter, consider bringing chains for the vehicles so you can pass the police checkpoint on the way to our retreat. Guest access Guests have access to all common areas of the lodge. You can use the bathrooms with a shower with hot water, dining room, living room, terrace and grills. We only limit the use of the kitchen, which is managed by the retreat's staff. You can make your booking by requesting the Breakfast service and/or more meals.
