Beatiful penthouse apartment, situated in the very centre of the old city of Cuenca, in the main square, a landmark where we have the most interesting monuments just next to our entrance door! Our penthouse is really welcoming, warm, bright, recently refurbished and fully equiped. A XIX building of three floors. It has the typical irregular structure of the houses in the old part of the city and it shares a very quiet residents´assotiation. The space Our penthouse is not only a penthouse flat in the main square of Cuenca, it is an experience!!! It has just been refurbished and equipped with all the necessary devices for mordern life. Wooden ceilings, plasterboard walls and castilian woodwork that give the house not only a XIX "conquense" character, but also the warmth and quietness of a home. There are no blinds in the windows, so light overflows every corner and the views are stunning. The community of neighbours is very calm and small, so in the house there is always peace. We have new beds, new towels and new bedlinen. Central heating, the kitchen, the toilet and the water installation are also new. The building has three facades. The main one, where the entrance is situated, faces a very quiet little square. In this small square you will only find the city hall and our building. The second facade views the river Huécar gorge. This allows us to behold the hill over the famous Cerro Socorro (a viewpoint that overlooks the gorge landscape and the sacred heart sculpture) just from the living room and the hall windows. And the third facade faces the famous Clavel Street, a very narrow alley where there are some remarkable taverns. This alley is very popular in st. Mathew´s festival, the third week of September, since we, the young people of Cuenca, run in front of the cow that comes out just from this alley. There are no buildings in front of us, you will "only" find the square, rooves, hills and the sky from the windows. Guest access The house has nearly 80 square metres. It is fully available. The house keeps its original structure, so the floor is divided in different levels separated by steps. We could say that there are no 90 angles. In the kitchen there is a table for four, and in the living room there is a table for 6. The sofa can be turned into a bed, if an additional place is needed. It is comfortable, but it is in the living room. The house is entirely for you. You will be confortable. There is Wi-Fi, television, hot water, fridge, microwave...
