Delightful 18th century stone thatched cottage, full of character and sympathetically furnished with two comfortable bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and large, private walled garden. Just a few minutes walk from the centre of Tisbury village with direct trains to London and parking opposite. The beautiful local surroundings offer super walking routes, a wide range of food and drink possibilities, a heated swimming pool, gym and library, and many sites of interest for a holiday in the countryside. The space The cottage is full of charm and character with sitting room next to the lovely and well-equipped kitchen with new induction hob, double oven, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer and with an elm dining table and chairs. There is fast broadband WiFi connection, but no dishwasher or TV/TV licence so you can really switch off and relax on the sofa/3-piece suite in the lounge, which is very comfortable for a snooze. There are two spacious and comfortable bedrooms upstairs. The main bedroom has a double bed and chest of drawers, and the second bedroom has a single bed and wardrobe. Both have good linen. The small bathroom has a bath and good shower. A store room leads on to the secluded patio and private walled garden up some steps. Perfect for morning coffee and the papers, or an afternoon nap on the large lawn! Loading and unloading is fine directly in front of or across from the cottage. Parking is available 40m up the lane. Other things to note The cottage lies in an area of outstanding natural beauty with really beautiful surroundings - rivers, lakes, woods, castles, paths, glades and fields to explore. Tisbury is an unspoiled village with full range of local shops including deli, butcher, bookshop, tea/coffee, small supermarket etc. and is part of the Cranbourne Chase Dark Skies, so the stars are amazing on clear nights. The area is superb for local sightseeing, walking, bike rides and more and within easy reach of Stonehenge, Shaftesbury (Gold Hill), Salisbury (Cathedral, shopping) Sherbourne (Abbey and Castle), Wilton (house and gardens), Stourhead (house and gardens), Longleat (house and safari park) and more.
