Little Yew
Little Yew
Description
Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis in the Tamar Valley. If you can't decide between Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, Devon and Cornwall then Little Yew is perfectly placed to explore both, being close to the border of these two beautiful counties. Situated in a quiet village within walking distance of a shop and pub, Little Yew is an annex attached to a former mining captain's cottage, fully self contained and recently updated. The space 1 bedroom and bathroom downstairs with a living area and kitchen upstairs. Please note the kitchen has a 2 ring electric hob, a microwave and an air fryer for cooking, no full size oven. Guest access The whole of the annex together with a small side garden is available. We live in the adjoining cottage so just ask if you need anything but you have complete privacy during your stay. There are doors to the front and rear of the property. The bolted door in the hallway leads to our kitchen but is bolted on both sides for your own and our privacy! Other things to note There are many beautiful places to discover on the doorstep such as the National Trust property Cotehele, and walks right from the door. The train station at Gunnislake is less than a 10 minute drive offering parking and a scenic ride through the Tamar Valley to Plymouth. The coast and beaches can be reached in half an hour or so by car and all the treasures of Cornwall beyond with Padstow about an hour away and Penzance about an hour and 40 minutes. We welcome well behaved dogs though please do not leave them unattended in the garden or inside the property. The small garden is fenced but may not be escape proof. Also please be aware that the property uses a septic tank for drainage so please don't put anything other than toilet paper (and the obvious) into the toilet! The property is also served by full fibre broadband so the WiFi is fast!
