'The Furrow' Luxury Shepherd’s Hut

Unique, handcrafted shepherd’s hut set in a private Dorset meadow, with open countryside views, a gentle stream and fire pit for relaxed evenings. Peaceful and secluded, yet just a two-minute walk to the pub, and close to Burton Bradstock Beach and the UNESCO Jurassic Coast. Beautifully styled throughout, it’s ideal for individuals or couples seeking a quiet, nature-led escape, with two friendly resident sheep in the surrounding field and space to fully unwind and recharge. The space The Furrow sits in its own, private meadow of approximately 3/4 acre, with unspoilt views of the Dorset Countryside, working farmyard nearby and friendly resident sheep! The hut is beautifully presented and consists of two rooms: A large living space with double bed, hidden TV, log burner, dining area which can double-up as a workspace, kitchenette with Belfast sink and double gas hob; and a separate bathroom with loo, basin and shower. The hut has gas fired central heating, hot running water and a log burner for extra coziness. There is a large outdoor decking area with patio furniture and outdoor kitchen. An outdoor sink is located to the side of the hut. The Furrow also boasts a large fire pit/bbq with seating for cosy nights by the fire. Binoculars are provided for potential sightings of wildlife including deer, native birds such as the Yellowhammer, and larger birds of prey. Guest access Guests will have full private access to the entire meadow area in which the hut is situated. Guests are welcome to pet the friendly sheep over the fence (they will come up close!) but must not enter the sheep enclosure at any time. Due to the close proximity of the sheep, we regret we cannot accommodate dogs. Please note that The Furrow is not wheelchair accessible. It is accessed by a narrow gravel path and uneven steps, so may be challenging for those with limited mobility. Please contact the host for any enquiries of this nature. Other things to note The Furrow comes provided with bedlinen and towels, fresh bread, butter, cows milk, tea and coffee. Please bring all other items you will need for your stay. The nearest supermarket is 3 miles away. We only have one allocated parking space for The Furrow. Any additional vehicles will need to be parked at your own risk up in the village. The Furrow is situated on the edge of a working cattle and sheep farm, which means that farm sights, sounds and smells may form part of your immersive experience!
