Just Listed! Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Enjoy watching spectacular sunsets from our large sun deck or screened-in Sun Room. Great views of wildlife. Use our 2 kayaks. Go fishing. Learn about the War of 1812 and the significant battles that took place at historic Sacket's Harbor. Go golfing near by, or a sailing adventure, or hike on one of the nature trails or just relax and recharge your batteries. The space Our summer cottage sits on a point/peninsula of land surrounded by Lake Ontario. There is plenty of room in the front and back yard for activities. We like to sit out by the lake, make s'mores by the fire pit, and watch the unbelievable sunsets over the lake in the evening. We have some kites available for flying if you catch a breeze. The night sky is well lit with planets, the stars and the Moon. Inside you will find that the spacious first floor has been completely paneled with stained pine planks, giving it a rustic but modern look and feel. The kitchen is available for your cooking needs and outdoors grill is available for those special meals. The large Sun Room has many windows, a sofa, a lounge chair, as well as a large dining room table so you can enjoy dining there also. The living room has a dining room table for meals, 2 sofas, 4 bar stools, board games, and the television. We have installed cable/TV and high speed wireless Internet access for your pleasure. The bathroom/shower is located on the first floor along with the dryer. Unfortunately, the washer is on the fritz for now. The second floor contains the four bedrooms; 2 with queen/double beds and 2 with twin beds accommodating 8 people comfortably. Drift off to sleep with wonderful lake breezes and wake up refreshed by the sound of waves lapping onto the shore. This year the water is shallow near our cottage and you can walk out in the warm lake water quite a ways before getting up to your waist, making it safe for supervised children. Guest access This unit is on the outer edge of the village but an easy walk to the restaurants and shops. There is hiking trail near by that will take you on a wonderful trip through field and forest. The Battlefield is along this trail with historic markers along the way. The Battlefield also is the focal point for historical reenactments, and concerts. There is also a large gaggle of Northern Canadian geese that float by the property a few times a day while they feed on the fish and fatten up for their long flight south. Parking is no problem and available on the premises as well as on the street. Please do not park or turn in the neighbors property or driveway. Other things to note This is our special place and is rarely available but it could be yours to enjoy during July as much as we enjoy it the rest of the summer.
