The space Surrounded by the tranquility of the Adda Park, our historic 16th-century farmhouse is the ideal place for those who want to slow down, breathe in nature, and spend a few days away from the noise of the city. The farmhouse has a very old history: it was once part of the historic Abbey of Pontida and was inhabited by the friars who lived and worked on these lands along the Adda River. Even today, the house retains the authentic charm of the old rural Lombard residences, with its large spaces, stone walls and simple, timeless atmosphere. The house can only be reached by car, via a picturesque dirt road that leads directly to the Adda River. Here, time seems to stand still: the sound of water, the green of the trees, and the tranquility of the countryside create an authentic and relaxing atmosphere. In the summer months, the river becomes a special place to cool off, bathe, or swim in the waters of the Adda. The current can be strong, so it's important to be a confident swimmer, but the experience of diving into the river surrounded by nature is truly unique. The farmhouse retains all the charm of the old country houses: stone walls almost a meter thick keep the rooms naturally cool even during the summer. That's why there's no air conditioning — and, since we're in a protected natural area of the Adda Park, the installation of external systems is deliberately limited to preserve the landscape and the tranquility of the place. The apartment is on the second floor of the farmhouse and is spacious, cozy and full of character. You will find: • a large kitchen with a traditional wood-burning stove, perfect in the colder seasons and also usable for cooking; • two double bedrooms, one of which has a piano; • a large room with a desk, also ideal for reading or working in peace; • a spacious room for children or adults with a full-over-full bunk bed, suitable for up to four people; • A crib for babies and a cot for children up to 3 years old. Guests have the entire left side of the farmhouse and a private garden where they can relax, eat outdoors, or simply enjoy the silence of nature. We use the right side only as a vacation home, so we are often not present. Omero lives in the central part. He is a very discreet person who occasionally takes care of the property's maintenance. And then there is Lea, our loving dog with a very sweet character, who is also used to other dogs in case you want to bring your four-legged friends with you. The area is perfect for those who love walking, biking, canoeing, and exploring the area slowly. From the garden, you can walk the paths along the river to the Leonardo-style Adda ferry, and after crossing it, continue on to Brivio. By bike, you can follow the Adda bike path to Lecco or even reach Milan. Despite the feeling of being immersed in the most authentic nature, the amenities are close: supermarkets and stores can be reached in a few minutes by car. It is a simple, authentic place full of atmosphere, perfect for families, friends, nature lovers, or for those looking for a few days of real rest, surrounded by the river, the silence, and the charm of an old farmhouse.
