A Room with endless View

Get close to nature and history at the very small village, Borðeyri. Tangahus guesthouse is few meters from the sea. Looking out of the windows you may feel like being on board a boat. The view from windows heading towards north is fantastic, especially at sunset in the summer time. During winter time our guests often see beautiful northern lights. Guests love to take walk to the beach and listen to the mysterious sound of the sea and seabirds. If you are lucky you can also see seals! The space On the ground floor are 2 bathrooms and showers, also washing machine and a dryer that our guests are welcome to use. One the first floor is the kitchen. It is fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave,dishwasher,coffee machine and a toaster. Also a big dining room, with tables and cheers for up to 35 people, bathroom (without shower) and 2 bedrooms. On the second floor are 2 bedrooms. One of them is the room we offer you here. We put sheets on the bed but ask our guests to put linen around the blanket and pillow upon arrival and take off upon departure. Instead we have the price lower :) Also included are bath towels. We do not serve breakfast, but in the kitchen is always coffee and tea for our guests, included in the price. There is a WiFi in the house. We are not always on site, but you can easily reach us by phone (our numbers on the white main door). We will give you the number to the locker so you can get the key. Usually we do that by mail one week before arrival. Other things to note Our guests come from many nations and everyone is welcome. In the evenings, it's often a fun atmosphere when they meet in common spaces, cook meals, invite each other to taste and chat together. The big dining room is a great place to share information about Iceland and your homeland and admire the view and take pictures while waiting for a washer and dryer to finish your laundry :)
