Charming country house in the heart of Burgundy

We fell in love with this house in 2019 because of its charm. Since then, we've been renovating it bit by bit, making sure to preserve its soul. Here, you won't be staying in an impersonal place, but in a family home, where we ourselves spend our vacations. You will find everything you need for a peaceful stay. The house is close to Apremont-sur-Allier, Sancerre, and La Charité. And for those warmer days, several lakes are about a 30-minute drive away. The space This 250-square-meter house with character is ideal for sharing beautiful moments with family or friends, in a warm and peaceful setting. On the ground floor you will find two large bedrooms, each equipped with a double bed. A small extra bedroom adjacent to the blue bedroom is also available: located in the passageway, it is not counted as a separate bedroom but nevertheless has a 120 cm bed. A bathroom with a clawfoot bathtub and a toilet complete this space. The dining room can comfortably seat up to 8 guests. There you will find unique dishes, collected over time and passed down by our families, which bring a lot of charm and authenticity to the house. The friendly and well-equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking and sharing good meals together. The spacious living room of more than 56 m² invites you to relax and enjoy moments of togetherness. In winter, its large fireplace creates a warm atmosphere that is ideal for evenings with family or friends. Upstairs, a bedroom overlooks the living room thanks to a mezzanine that separates it from the rest of the house. Further on, two adjoining bedrooms offer additional sleeping accommodations: one with a queen size bed, the other with a sofa bed that also converts into a queen size bed. A bathroom and toilet are also available on this floor. Finally, the terrace allows you to fully enjoy the view of the beautiful garden, in a quiet and relaxing environment. Guest access The accommodation is located in Châteauneuf-Val-de-Bargis, just 17 minutes from La Charité-sur-Loire, 25 minutes from Cosne-sur-Loire, 45 minutes from Nevers and 50 minutes from Bourges. The village has all the essential amenities: a pharmacy, a bakery, a small supermarket and a friendly inn where you can eat very well. Guests can easily park either inside the property, in the main driveway in front of the barn, or on the street, in front of the large gate.
