Inside, the home welcomes up to four guests across two serene queen bedrooms, complemented by a light-filled bathroom with integrated laundry. Warm, thoughtfully styled living spaces reflect the home’s rich past while offering all the comforts needed for a relaxed and memorable stay. But it’s the wide, covered verandah that truly captures the essence of Braemar House. From your doorstep, everything is within easy reach. Wander to the local café for your morning brew, browse the general store, or settle in at the pub for a long lunch. If your stay aligns with the first Sunday of the month, the beloved Candelo Market offers a vibrant glimpse into the region’s creative and community spirit. When you’re ready to explore beyond the village, the natural beauty of the Sapphire Coast awaits—pristine beaches, lush forests, tranquil lakes and renowned food experiences all just a short drive away. Peaceful, full of character and pet-friendly by approval, Braemar House is perfectly suited to couples, friends or a small family seeking something a little more meaningful—where the setting is as memorable as the home itself. Walk to cafés, weekend markets and the pub, then unwind in timeless country style Braemar House is fifty meters from the Candelo General Store and Cafe, within walking distance of the Candelo Service Station/Vintage Shop, the School of Arts Town Hall and the Candelo Hotel. It also has easy access to the Candelo Swimming Pool and Candelo Tennis Courts. And don't forget the monthly Candelo Market held across the road on the first Sunday of each Month! Well-known for its community energy, Candelo also hosts the Candelo Village Festival (every second year) and other Candelo Arts Society events and the Annual Candelo Agricultural, Horticultural and Dairy Show (January). Guest access Self check-in (details given for access prior to arrival) Other things to note A well-behaved pet is welcome, provided it sleeps on the floor and eats outside on the verandah. A small pet is preferred as the garden is not secure/dog-proof. Note that Braemar House accommodation is in the Residence above the Candelo Post Office. The Post Office is not open on the weekend; it is active 07:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday. Our property has complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, dishwashing liquid, and toilet paper. Shampoo is available if needed. These items are not restocked during the booking, however the Candelo General Store is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am - 6:00pm and Weekends from 8:30am - 3:00pm. Larger supermarkets are in Bega, Merimbula and Tura (about 30 minutes away). You are very welcome to use pantry items left by others. Braemar House is a smoke-free and flame-free building.
