Welcome to Kvarnstugan, our carefully renovated cottage from the late 18th century, idyllically located in the forest just outside Mariannelund. Here you live with a view of the pond and the old stone bridge, surrounded by fruit trees, beautiful nature and abundant wildlife right nearby. Only 20 minutes from Astrid Lindgren's World. Enjoy the tranquility, the large property and modern comfort in a genuine Swedish rural setting. The space On the ground floor, you will be met by a welcoming hall leading on to a fully equipped kitchen in a modern country style. There is also a cozy living room, a dining room with room for 6 people, and a fresh bathroom. From the kitchen, you can reach the patio at the back. There you can enjoy some grilled food. The large property with fruit trees and lawn invites you to play and relax during long summer evenings. The upper floor consists of an open loft with a double bed and two single beds, as well as a crib. In the living room, there is also a sofa bed for two people, which makes the cabin perfect for families or smaller groups of up to six guests. Free access to firewood is available for use in the stove and hot tub. Hot tub available by arrangement only. Here you can wake up to birdsong, experience magical starry skies and, with a little luck, see both deer and moose nearby. At the same time, you live only about 20 minutes from Astrid Lindgren's World and close to many of Småland's beautiful excursion destinations. Kvarnstugan is perfect for those seeking peace, nature and a genuine Swedish forest experience with modern comfort year-round. Only 3 km to an ICA store and a health center in Mariannelund. There is also a coffee shop, restaurant, pizzeria and, not least, Mariannelund's candy store and Filmbyn. Note: You clean before check-out (final cleaning can be booked for an additional fee; just contact us), and you bring your own towels and linens (available for rent by agreement). Guest access The entire mill cottage is available, and the grounds are free to use. However, the track maintenance cabin is not in usable condition and is therefore locked. Other things to note The cottage is beautifully situated in a rural location with a pond and railway directly adjacent to the property. Smaller children should therefore be supervised. NOTE: There are at most two trains per day, so it's nothing that would disturb your stay. Smoking is not permitted inside.
