Welcome to Bjørneskard mountain cabin – a cozy and fully equipped cabin of high standard, beautifully located at the top of Sirdal. Here, you will enjoy majestic views, tranquility, and nature as your closest neighbor. Here, you can start your day with coffee in the sunshine, go hiking in beautiful mountain terrain, and end the evening in the sauna. A natural gathering point is the cozy outdoor lounge with an outdoor fireplace and dining area. The cabin is perfect for both relaxing days and active experiences, with plenty of space for family and friends. The space The cabin contains The cabin has 9 beds in 4 bedrooms and is spread over two floors with a well-thought-out layout. Both floors have their own living room, bathroom, and two bedrooms—perfect for multiple families or generations who want both togetherness and privacy. On the lower floor, there is an open-plan kitchen/living room. The cabin maintains a consistently high standard, with cozy and tastefully furnished rooms, as well as excellent features that make your stay both easy and comfortable. Here you will find, among other things, a sauna, a washing machine, and a dishwasher, as well as a drying cabinet – perfect after long days of hiking and skiing. Heating cables in the floor provide extra comfort. Outdoor areas and amenities A natural gathering point is the cozy outdoor living room with an outdoor fireplace and dining area— a place where evenings often stretch a bit longer than planned. Outside, you will also find a fire pit, perfect for great conversations and an authentic mountain atmosphere under the open sky. After an active day outdoors, you can relax in the cabin's own sauna – and for the most adventurous, a refreshing snow bath is available right outside the door. There are good parking options, and you can drive all the way up to the cabin year-round. A private EV charging station is also available. Experiences in the area The cabin is perfectly located – right in the middle of magnificent nature, with activities available just outside the door all year round. In winter, you can enjoy fantastic ski slopes, alpine resorts, and leisurely snowshoe hikes through snow-covered landscapes. Summer and fall offer hikes across a variety of mountain terrain, and cloudberry picking in the nearby area provides a true Norwegian mountain idyll. Lysebotn and Kjerag are within easy reach and offer some of Norway's most spectacular nature experiences. In the area, you will also find fishing waters, swimming coves, and giant's kettles, as well as the beautiful Suleskardvegen road towards Setesdalen. For a bit of extra excitement and fun, we recommend Høyt & Lavt Sirdal, a mountain cart ride in the mountains, or a climb via the Ferrata. A perfect starting point for both relaxing breaks and active adventures – all year round. Guest access You are welcome to use the entire cabin, the outdoor living room, and the rest of the outdoor area while you are here. Electricity, TV, internet, firewood, and cleared driveways are included. Other things to note We want every guest to arrive at a clean cabin in excellent condition. To maintain a high professional standard, we use Sirdal Renhold, a local cleaning company that ensures the cabin is always well maintained. A cleaning fee of is applied. NOK 2,000. If you don't want to bring bed linens and towels, these can be provided by our laundry service. It would be great to be notified of this as soon as possible. Bed linens, as well as large and small towels, cost NOK 200 per person. The cabin is rented to families and adults over the age of 25. Upon departure, the cabin must be left tidy both inside and outside. We offer late check-out on the day of departure at no extra cost – because we know how wonderful it is to enjoy a leisurely morning or go on another outing and make the most of the day.
