Allow yourself to unwind in the gentle comfort of Puggle Cottage- a cosy retreat with queen bed + sofa bed for additional guests. This thoughtfully designed tiny house offers all you need for a night or two, a week, or longer if you choose. Step out onto the back deck and soak in the claw‑foot bathtub as you look across the peaceful upper reaches of the Barcoo River reserve. From your doorstep, it’s a short stroll to cafes and hotel dinners, - all the charm this welcoming outback town offers. The space There is a detailed floor plan of the newly appointed Puggle Cottage in the photos, to help potential guests visualise what this property has to offer. Please check it out and feel free to ask for further information. Although front and back entries are via stairs, there are sturdy handrails in place. The shower and toilet areas are easy access, both with fixed grab rails. The shower is walk in, has an optional shower seat, grab rails and hand- held shower flexi-hose. Guest access This cottage is your unique space, there is another cottage on the block, but each is strictly the own private space of you, the booked guest/s throughout your stay. Other things to note Puggle Cottage backs on to the upper reaches of the Barcoo River reserve, so it is not uncommon to see kangaroos, cattle & horses quietly grazing beyond the back fence. At night, some of the cheeky kangaroos even come into the back yard to ‘prune’ the garden. You will also hear birds in the morning … there are a couple of peewees and magpies who have fallen in love with their own reflections in the back windows - you are most welcome to shoo them away if they are annoying! They are shy, but occasionally an echidna (Puggle) will wander through (generally at night). Depending on the season, mosquitoes are sometimes out & about around dusk & dark. If you are wanting to continue enjoying the front porch or back deck, there is insect repellent available for your comfort. Most of all, please enjoy every moment of your stay!
