Guest access At Feather Down Mount Pleasant, tucked away in the rolling Dorset countryside near Blandford Forum, life on the farm moves at a wonderfully peaceful pace. Surrounded by open fields and quiet landscapes, this working livestock farm is a lovely place for families to spend long days outdoors together. Guests can meet the cows, calves, sheep, lambs, pigs, horses and chickens around the farm, while dogs are welcome too, making it easy to bring the whole family along. There is no Wi-Fi and no electricity in the tents, encouraging everyone to switch off and enjoy the simple pleasures of outdoor living. Oil lamps cast a warm glow after dark, meals are cooked on the wood-burning stove and evenings are often spent around the campfire beside the tent. The Feather Down tents are comfortably furnished with proper beds, a fully equipped kitchen, private toilet and an en-suite shower in every tent. The farmer is always happy to show guests around the farm during a tour, sharing more about life on this working farm and the animals that live here. A small honesty shop with a few essentials is available on site and the outdoor communal area offers a relaxed place to spend time together after a day exploring the countryside. Mount Pleasant is a peaceful place where days are spent outdoors and life naturally slows down.
