Quirky, historic luxury hideaway
Quirky, historic luxury hideaway
Description
Welcome to our quirky little hideaway! This beautiful, quirky history-packed property (which dates back to the Elizabethan era!) is attached to our home but is completely private. You have your own front door and private woodland garden. We have tried to renovate the annexe sympathetically, balancing luxury bathrooms with retaining original features (with the various nooks and crannies typical of a property which dates back this far! The space The annexe is two-storey. Downstairs: - Large lounge with wood-burning stove, large tv with freesat, two day-beds with proper single mattresses which can be used as beds (sleeps 2 people) - Fully equipped kitchen including double oven, tall fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and all the equipment you should need to make meals during your stay - Shower room with WC, rainfall shower head Upstairs: - "Adult" bedroom with king size bed and luxury bedding (sleeps 2 people in total) - "Kids" bedroom with bunk beds (sleeps 2 people) - Bathroom with L-shaped jacuzzi bath with shower over the top - Separate WC **Please note the stairs to the upstairs in the annexe are relatively steep and narrow - they are not suitable for people with particularly limited mobility - please take care when using the stairs! The stairs have a door at the top and at the bottom so parents can use these to stop little ones accessing the stairs as the stairs can be blocked off using these doors! ** As per the comments in the photo, the space upstairs is quite limited. The bedrooms are cosy (not spacious!). There isn't room for the travel cot in the adults' bedroom upstairs - the most comfortable space for the travel cot is the lounge. The woodland garden is about 30 metres from the house - through our orchard and has a slate chipping path. There is road noise in the woodland garden! This annexe is attached to our house - we can’t hear chatter or music played at a non-party level but please note noisy/raucous events will not be tolerated. Considerate groups and families will be welcomed for a relaxing getaway in the countryside. (Please no raucous screaming and shouting or loud music outside/in the woodland garden- this isn’t fair on us as your hosts or our lovely neighbour on the other side of our orchard). We have two very friendly dogs in the main house with us. The walls are very thick so it’s very unlikely you’ll ever hear them. The dogs do not have access to the inside of the annexe or the annexe's woodland garden and we do our best to keep them away from guests (unless you’d like to meet them!). Guest access We have plenty private parking
