The Green House

Description

Escape to this peaceful off-grid tiny home set on 3 private acres, just 20 minutes from Bairnsdale or 30 min from Lakes Entrance in the beautiful East Gippsland Surrounded by native bushland, enjoy a slower pace with veggie gardens, open skies and a tranquil dam. Unwind on the deck, reconnect with nature and experience sustainable living in a cosy, thoughtfully designed retreat. Perfect for couples seeking relaxation, simplicity and a true country escape. The space Welcome to Your Off-Grid Tiny Home Experience Your tiny home is completely off-grid, powered by the sun and supplied by rainwater. Living off-grid is all part of the experience, so we simply ask that you use these resources thoughtfully during your stay. Power: The tiny home runs on solar power, so high-energy appliances such as kettles, toasters, hair dryers and other heating appliances can't be used. Charging phones, laptops, cameras and other small devices is absolutely fine. Cooking & Heating: Cooking is done on the gas cooktop, and there's a Weber BBQ in the mud room that can be used as a BBQ, oven or even a toaster. It's easy to use and has temperature control. For those crisp winter mornings, there's also a small diesel heater to keep you warm and cosy. Water: Our rainwater system provides lovely fresh water and a great shower with excellent pressure. To help conserve water, we ask that showers be kept to around 3 minutes per person where possible. Composting Toilet: You'll be using a modern, odour-free composting toilet. It's simple and easy to use. Just remember the 3 P Rule: Pee Poo (Toilet) Paper After each use, simply add one cup of sawdust and close the lid. Please don't place food scraps, wet wipes, sanitary products, nappies or anything else into the toilet. Sleeping Arrangements: The loft features a comfortable double bed, accessed by a ladder. The lounge downstairs easily converts into a double bed, with all linen provided. Relax, unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures of off-grid living. We hope you love your stay! Guest access You'll have this peaceful space all to yourselves, with your own private area to relax and unwind. The Tiny Home overlooks a picturesque dam nestled in the paddock, where our three friendly alpacas—Juno, Giuseppe and Pickles—love to graze. They may even wander over to say hello, adding a little extra charm to your country escape. Other things to note Just a friendly reminder that you're staying in an off-grid tiny home, designed to work in harmony with nature. Your power comes from the sun, your water from rainwater tanks, and the composting toilet helps us minimise our environmental impact. To help keep everything running smoothly, we simply ask that you use water and electricity thoughtfully during your stay. Thank you for helping us care for this special little place so future guests can enjoy it too.
