The space Welcome to The Artist’s Annexe and Forest Shepherd’s Hut ….a peaceful, characterful retreat for those who love nature, beautiful spaces and a gentler pace of life. Tucked away in the heart of the New Forest, the annexe has been thoughtfully created with original artwork, vintage treasures and carefully chosen details, giving it a warm, atmospheric and distinctly individual feel. The retreat sleeps up to five guests across the annexe and its enchanting Forest Shepherd’s Hut. The hut sits just a few steps from the main annexe, creating a unique second bedroom and a memorable place to wake up surrounded by nature. Please note that the Shepherd’s Hut does not have its own bathroom. Guests staying there use the bathroom inside the annexe, accessed via a short set of outdoor steps. The annexe also includes a separate dressing and luggage room, complete with an antique wardrobe, dressing table with Hollywood lights, changing screen, hairdryer, iron and small ironing board, giving you plenty of space to unpack, get ready and settle in comfortably during your stay. The kitchenette is designed for breakfast, drinks and light cooking. It includes a small oven with two hobs, an air fryer and a compact sink. As the washing-up space is limited, guests are very welcome to leave used crockery for me to pop into the dishwasher. Step out onto your private balcony overlooking the garden, wander through the beautifully wild surroundings, or simply relax and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. The garden is for guests to enjoy during their stay. As it forms part of our home, you may occasionally see our friendly Border Collie, Ocean, or our six resident cats. If you have allergies, a fear of dogs, or would prefer not to encounter pets, please let me know before booking and I’ll always do my best to accommodate you. Visiting dogs are very welcome. As our cats roam freely around the garden so we kindly ask that dogs stay on a lead outdoors. The open New Forest begins just across the road, where free-roaming ponies, donkeys, cattle and ancient woodland are part of everyday life. Just minutes from Beaulieu, Lymington and the coast, it’s the perfect base for walking, cycling, exploring or simply slowing down before returning to your own peaceful forest retreat. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire annexe, the separate dressing and luggage room, private balcony and the enchanting Forest Shepherd’s Hut, just a few steps away. The wild gardens are yours to enjoy, and the open New Forest begins just across the road, making it easy to step out for walks among the New Forest ponies, donkeys and ancient woodland. The annexe is completely self-contained, giving you privacy while knowing I’m nearby should you need anything.
