Description
Welcome to this small cozy nest surrounded by nature, between the lake and the mountains, with a magical and panoramic view of Lake Neuchâtel, Yverdon-Les-Bains, the Orbe plain, and the Alps. The space With its independent entrance (outside stairs), this accommodation is located in the heart of my house where I live: an old farmhouse typical of the region dating from 1800-1850, listed as a historical monument. This lovely apartment (approx. 60 m2) has been completely designed, thought out, and renovated by me to welcome you. My wish was to create a cozy place for my guests with all amenities, while taking care to preserve the character of this old building. A place full of gentleness, conducive to recharging your batteries, getting away from it all, and creativity... While enjoying the view to the fullest, a green space awaits you for moments of relaxation, as does the vegetable garden terrace, where you can enjoy your meals in a rural setting. These two terraces will be available to you. A garden full of life where animals and humans coexist in beautiful harmony. A cheerful team awaits you: my three cats (Yuno, Léon, Kimia), my chickens (no rooster), my ducks, and in the nearby meadows: horses, cows, sheep... With the seasons, the lake is dressed in subtle shades of blue, changing from very dark blue-gray to the most vibrant turquoise. With the Alps as a backdrop, this magnificent landscape is constantly changing. The most amazing thing, in my opinion, is still the phenomenon of the sea of fog. A grand show that inspires wonder! Some suggestions for activities: In the spring: - if the weather permits, bask in the sun above the sea of fog!!! Either in Villars-Burquin or in Mauborget (approx. 8 minutes by car) - go hiking (many hiking trails) - Go mountain biking, e-biking (many trails) - Go up to Mauborget, the balcony of the Jura (about 8 minutes by car) for its breathtaking panoramic view - ... In summer: - swim in Lake Neuchâtel (among other things: beautiful sandy beaches under the pine trees on the Yvonand side) - take a walk in the forest (lots of walking trails) - walk in the mountains, then enjoy excellent cheese specialties in its typical alpine chalets - during a heat wave: enjoy the coolness of summer nights - .... In Autumn: - weather permitting, bask in the sun above the sea of fog!!! Either in Villars-Burquin or in Mauborget (approx. 8 minutes by car) - go mushroom picking (among other places: in the Grandvent woods, a 5-minute walk from my house) - visit Grandson Castle - ... In winter: - enjoy the joys of snow: downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing... (among others: to the Sainte-Croix/Les Rasses ski area and Nordic center) - ... And many more things to discover... I will be happy to provide you with information to make your stay as pleasant as possible 🤗 Guest access Two parking spaces are available behind my house (blue barn door). Villars-Burquin has the advantage of being located 10 minutes from the Grandson motorway exit and being served by PostBus buses. Other things to note - Villars-Burquin is fortunate to have a dairy/cheese shop with bread and other essential items available. - 10 minutes away by car, Champagne has a small supermarket and 2 bakeries - 15 min drive, the "en Chamard" shopping area in Montagny-près-Yverdon has various supermarkets and other stores - The tourist tax in Villars-Burquin is 1.50 CHF per night per person. Please put the amount in the envelope that will be on the kitchen table and put it in my mailbox on the day of your arrival or the next day. I'll write the amount on the envelope for you.
