The space Nestled on a peaceful small farm, the cottage enjoys a private setting with dedicated parking and convenient self check-in via a lockbox. The self-contained annexe opens directly into a cosy and tastefully decorated bedroom, featuring a comfortable double bed, bedside tables, and storage drawers for your belongings. Leading from the bedroom is a modern en-suite shower room, complete with a walk-in shower, wash basin, heated towel rail, and WC. Complimentary shampoo and body wash are provided for your stay. The bedroom also opens into a bright and welcoming open-plan living and kitchen area. The fully equipped kitchen includes an electric oven, four-ring hob, under-counter fridge and freezer, washing machine, toaster, and kettle, with tea, coffee, and sugar provided on arrival. A dining and workspace area offers the perfect spot for enjoying meals or catching up on work. Basic cooking essentials, including oil, salt, and pepper, are also available. The comfortable living area is designed for relaxation, featuring a cosy wood-burning stove for cooler evenings, a Smart TV with Freeview and Netflix, a comfortable sofa, a rocking chair, and an abundance of houseplants. Outside, guests can enjoy a sunny private garden with a lawned area and outdoor seating, ideal for morning coffee or evening drinks. There is driveway parking for one vehicle directly beside the cottage. The cottage is perfectly situated for visitors attending some of the region’s most popular events, including The Big Feastival, Wilderness Festival, Cornbury Festival, and the Cheltenham Festival. You'll also be within easy reach of many of the Cotswolds' most sought-after attractions, including Daylesford Organic Farm, Soho Farmhouse, Blenheim Palace, Broadway Tower, Batsford Arboretum, Chastleton House, Broughton Castle, and Diddly Squat Farm Shop and the Farmers Dog. Just a two-minute drive away are the ancient Rollright Stones, one of Britain's most fascinating prehistoric monuments. For those who enjoy exploring on foot, a scenic 2.5-mile countryside walk from the cottage leads directly to this remarkable site. The cottage provides an excellent base for discovering the Cotswolds’ famous towns and villages, including Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway, Woodstock, Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Cheltenham, and the beautiful villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the small garden directly at the front of the property. Further down the track and behind/to the side of the cottage are privately owned gardens. Please be respectful and only use the front garden/seating area. Other things to note For the ultimate cosy countryside experience, be sure to light the wood-burning stove during your stay. We provide firelighters, matches, kindling, and enough logs for your first evening stay Families with infants are welcome to stay. If you are bringing your own travel cot, or are happy for a young child to share the bed with you. We are also pleased to welcome one well-behaved dog. As this is a charming and compact cottage, it also has a small hot water tank. This provides approximately 10 minutes of continuous hot water for showering before it needs time to reheat. We recommend leaving the washing up to us—you are on holiday after all! Most guests never find this to be an issue, and we have welcomed hundreds of happy visitors over the years. However, we like to be completely transparent so that you can decide whether this arrangement suits your needs before booking.
