Dog-friendly hot tub lodge near Richmond

Slow down at Ylfa, a dog-friendly Scandinavian-inspired lodge for two at Greenbank Lodges near Richmond. Named after an old Scandinavian word meaning she-wolf, Ylfa pairs warm brown and earth-toned interiors with sweeping North Yorkshire countryside views. Wake in the king-size bed beneath the large feature window, cook simple meals in the kitchenette, then spend slow evenings in your private garden with a charcoal BBQ, outdoor seating and covered hot tub. The space Ylfa is a cosy one-bed lodge designed for couples, solo travellers and guests bringing dogs. It has the peaceful feel of a rural retreat, with the comfort and privacy of a luxury self-catering lodge. Inside the black timber-clad cabin, brown and earth-toned interiors create a warm, calm and natural feel. The king-size bed sits beneath the large feature window, making the countryside view the focal point of the space. There’s also built-in seating for two, a wall-mounted Smart TV, heating for year-round stays and free Wi-Fi by Starlink. The kitchenette is set up for relaxed self-catering, with a combi microwave/oven, two-ring induction hob, under-counter fridge with icebox, kettle, toaster, cafetière, cookware, crockery and glassware. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and Skandinavisk toiletries, with linen, towels and hot tub robes provided for two guests. Outside, Ylfa has a private garden and paved patio with a covered hot tub, charcoal BBQ, outdoor tables and comfortable seating for two. The hot tub is covered by a canopy, so guests can enjoy it throughout the year. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of Ylfa lodge, the private garden, paved patio, covered hot tub, outdoor seating and charcoal BBQ. There is on-site parking for one car behind the lodge. Please note there are steps leading down from the parking area to the lodge, plus two steps at the entrance. Guests can also enjoy the wider Greenbank Lodges setting, including the easy one-kilometre walking loop around the site. Other things to note Ylfa welcomes up to two well-behaved dogs. A charge of £25 per dog, per stay applies. Dog-friendly touches include a dog bowl, complimentary treats and spare waste bags. Please note that the garden next to the lodge is not enclosed, so dogs should be supervised outside. A welcome hamper is included, with Polaroid camera film, playing cards, coffee, tea, crisps and milk. The Polaroid camera is provided for guest use during the stay and should remain in the lodge for future guests to enjoy. Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is before 10:00 AM. Check-in and check-out are via a lockbox on the lodge. Ylfa is a one-bed lodge and is not suited to more than two guests. Access is via steps, so I would avoid describing it as step-free, accessible or suitable for limited mobility.
