Photography package available, message host for details 2 GUESTS ONLY; please check with host regarding children The space Our spacious basement retreat, located in the quiet waterfront neighborhood of Drum Point, 10 minutes from Solomons Island, with 10' ceilings and a private entrance is steps away from the lake. You can relax on the dock in the Adirondack chairs, fish and kayak (available on premise) on the lake or hike the surrounding trails. There is no swimming in the lake but you can swim in the Bay. You can access the Chesapeake Bay beach which is a short, peaceful three minute walk. The private, secluded patio allows siestas, bird watching and becoming one with nature. Eagles, ospreys and herons are plentiful and make beautiful subjects if you enjoy photography. Enjoy the fire ring well stocked with wood and the charcoal grill (charcoal is NOT supplied). Professional photographer available on request at time of reservation to capture special moments (additional fee). Enjoy the warmth of our retreat, finished in warm woods and ceramic tile. There is a full kitchen, including stove, oven, full size fridge, microwave, furnished with pots/pans, plates, bowls, utensils and dishwashing supplies. Rest easy in the queen size hybrid bed with memory foam topper while enjoying a view of the lake; linens and blankets supplied. A 50" Smart TV on a swivel arm can be viewed from bed or the sofa. Full bath appointed with towels and blow dryer We offer high speed Xifinity WIFI as well as a separate thermostat to allow your own climate control. Full size washer and dryer are available for stays greater than 4 nights, iron and ironing board available. Other things to note We adhere to and respect Covid safety standards, always washing comforters and shams and frequently washing pillows and blankets and always using Lysol on porous items not able to launder. All touchable items are sanitized from entry door to lights out. I reside upstairs. You may hear minimal noise as the studio is in the basement level of the home. There is also a utility closet on basement level that host may infrequently access; it is NOT located in the studio and is accessed by an entrance that is NOT IN STUDIO. You may hear a door open/close. Please note, as we are on well water, there may be a chance that there is a sulfur smell to the water. The water is safe to drink and use.
