One of Hardanger's oldest houses (1846), spacious, renovated with spirit, and filled with antique details and French charm. Glass ceiling, fireplace, and long table for the whole extended family. Fall in with the fjord and mountains right in front of you from the outdoor bed. Book a cider tasting, take a trip to Trolltunga or walk the famous Queen's Route, go to Mikkelparken with the kids, or just stay in the house and enjoy the view. The space The house is located along the old road in Lofthus with a direct view of the Sørfjorden and the snow-capped mountains. Originally built in 1846, newly renovated with respect for history, original details meet modern comfort. On the ground floor you will find a separate bedroom with a private bathroom, perfect for grandparents or those who want a little peace and quiet. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a large bathroom with bathtub, where the family has plenty of space to spread out. The heart of the house is the large dining room with long tables, the lovely kitchen and living room with fireplace and the sofa nook all will fight over. The glass ceiling lets the light in its own way. Outside, a private garden with a fire pit awaits. Here you can light a fire in the open fireplace, grill, and set the long table under the open sky. The porch in front of the house is the place for the morning coffee with fjord view and supper in the sunset. Guest access The house has direct access from the road and parking on the property. By car from Oslo across Hardangervidda and down the fjord. About 5 hours. By car from Bergen via Voss, over the Hardanger Bridge, and out into the fjord. Approximately 2.5 hours. By car from Haugesund: 2.5 hours By car from Stavanger: about 3 hours Other things to note This is an old and venerable antique house that we want to take care of. The house has a steep original staircase from 1846 between the floors, with non-slip tape applied. Please be aware of this with small children or reduced mobility.
