Welcome to our Comfy Place, close to everything in Sioux Falls. When you step into this house, you can't help but feel the comfort and calm and appreciate the thoughtfully placed decore. This is a charming, older home with old home characteristics. This house is built as a triplex. This listing is for the main level unit/apartment and you will have your privacy and enjoy the comforts it provides! You will enter the unit being greeted by an enclosed porch with two comfortable, Adirondack style chairs that is ideal to enjoy in the warmer weather. For your comfort, the living room features an incredibly deep and comfortable sofa with matching chair made for curling up or falling asleep in. It is accompanied by unique, industrial end tables and a one of a kind, refurbished coffee table. The kitchen is older in style but fully equipped with a full size refrigerator, microwave, oven, dishes and cookware. The cupboards are full of various spices, teas, coffees, hot cocoa and misc snacks. The bathroom layout is original but it has been updated. The bathroom holds the original, oversized bathtub with a uniquely arched cove shower ceiling. This architectural design may prove to be a tad awkward for tall people but we have added a personal shower head that is removable to help with that. The main bedroom is simply furnished with a comfortable queen sized bed. The second bedroom is thoughtfully and adorably decorated with matching twin beds, bedding and a coordinating rug and curtains. The dining room features an original built in that is simply decorated. It holds a round dining table that seats four with basketweave chairs. Designer touches have been added with an updated chandelier and a beautiful floral arrangement. There is even a candy machine with M&Ms for the kiddos to enjoy. We Do not live on the premises but are available to contact for questions or concerns. About your hosts: We are workaholics and early to bed and early to rise. :-) If you need to get a hold of us for any reason after 9pm, please be sure to *call* us and do not just text or message us. As hosts, we always want to be available for you but we need our sleep too ;-) and often go to bed around 9pm. We are more apt to wake up to the ringing of a phone. We want to assist anyway we can, so please be sure to keep calling until we answer. :-) The home is centrally located in Sioux Falls and just 2 blocks off Minnesota Ave. It is close to downtown and to Avera Hospital. It is only 4 blocks from Sanford Hospital and close to the zoo and to the Midco Aquatic Center. It is also an easy drive to the airport. Everything is not brand new. What make this place so unique and special is the combination of old and new. The floor is solid wood and old, so it is not smooth and it creaks (as do all REAL, solid wood floors). The kitchen is outdated but it is clean and comfortable to use. The windows are old but they are in excellent condition considering their age. Old windows were not always built with locks on the casings. One day, we hope to have everything completely updated and remodeled. =) If you can appreciate the quirks of the mixture of new and old, this is absolutely the right place for you. The upstairs apartment and the basement apartment are also Airbnbs that host other guests. This is the house that my husband lived in with his four sons and they lived very comfortably in this home together. Please note that this is not run by a hired hosting agency. When my husband and I are not at our regular, full time jobs, we manage the listing, the property and do the cleaning ourselves with hired help as needed. Internet & tv available. Tv is Roku, so you can watch tv through your own subscriptions such as Netflix. Other items provided include blow dryer, box fan, coffee and often times snacks of some variety. There is a pack n play, upon request, available for little ones. SCOOTER RENTALS We have 2 Segway Ninebot Kickscooter Max G30P Scooters available for rent upon request & based on availability. If you would like to rent them, please let me know so I can check availability and so we can make arrangements for the reservation. I will send you a money request for the rental amount. We are not liable for any accidents or injuries. They would be great to take downtown, the Falls Park or any events at the Levitt Center, the zoo or to just get around the neighborhood. Rentals available April-October if there is no snow on the ground. House Checkout Rules: LEAVE THE PLACE HOW YOU FOUND IT. (don’t leave the sink with dirty dishes or trash left laying all over) You may leave used towels in bathrooms or you may pile them in the laundry basket. Don’t strip the beds or make the beds, leave that for us. :-) PET OWNERS: *NO CATS. Well behaved and fully trained dogs only are welcome!* Pets must be on the reservation and are a $30 per stay fee. Pets must be outside potty trained. Pets are not to pee or poo inside the house, even with the use of pee pads. Pets are not to be directly on the furniture or bedding. We can provide sheets for you to use to cover the furniture or bedding if your pet is accustomed to jumping on furniture or cuddling up with you. It takes way too long to clean fur off upholstery, comforters and blankets, so please keep the furniture and bedding fur free. RULES: No parties or "hang outs" please. Absolutely no "hanging out" and drinking, smoking, vaping or doing drugs of any kind including pot. No parties or "hang outs" please. If you need to come and go at all hours of the night or have visitors past 10pm, this is not the right place for you. We ask that the commonly known quiet hours of 10pm-7am be respected so as not to disturb the guests in the other apartments. Check in at 3pm. Early check in requests must be personally communicated and okay’d by me. Please do not rely on requests made through the Airbnb app at time of reservation. We try to accommodate early check in requests as much as we are able depending on our schedules. No wearing shoes in the apartment unless they are super clean. PARKING: It has a shared driveway with the neighbor, so please do not park in the driveway. There is plenty of room for on street parking. You will have your own front door entrance.
