The space Sleeps up to 14 guests across five beautifully designed bedrooms (with space for up to 2 travel cots). Thoughtfully laid out for larger families and groups, the cottage blends character, comfort and flexibility — making it ideal for multi-generational stays, golf trips or relaxed celebrations. 4 x flexible king-size/twin bedrooms on the first floor. The two larger bedrooms have an additional single sofa-bed chair, and are routinely set up as a king-size. The other two bedrooms are routinely set up as twin beds. Sleeping configurations can be changed on request. 1 x Ground floor bedroom with ensuite – perfect for guests preferring step-free access. Routinely set up as a king-size but can be configured as twin beds on request. Two travel cots available Additional sleeping available (one double sofa bed in one of the living areas) Bathrooms 1 x family bathroom upstairs complete with bath, shower over, basin & WC. 1 x ensuite (ground floor bedroom) with enclosed shower, basin & WC. 1 x additional bathroom downstairs with enclosed shower, basin & WC. From plastic cutlery and highchairs to baby baths, cots, fireguards and pool toys - we’ve tried to think of everything so you don’t have to. The onsite children’s play area is just a few steps away, and your stay includes access to our beautiful fishing lake and indoor heated swimming pool. The Barnacre Pool Our private pool is shared between the four cottages, but you’ll enjoy exclusive private access in pre-booked slots (1 hour slots up to 2 hours/day, between 8am–6pm). The pool is fully heated and comes with towels, changing room, a toilet, an indoor hot tub and plenty of pool toys for kids (and grown-ups too). There’s even a sauna just outside the pool door for that extra holiday indulgence. With sandy beaches, woodland walks, pubs, and restaurants just 10 minutes away - and the village pub right around the corner - The Old Farmhouse is the perfect base for family adventures, friend-filled getaways and relaxed dog-friendly escapes. A few extra things you might like to know: – You’ll have access to our lovely indoor heated pool (just a 3-4 minute stroll down our farm track), bookable for private slots each day - Opening hours 8am-6pm. – Your own private hot tub, perfect for evening soaks (available anytime until 11pm) – The cottage is fully equipped with an oven, hob, ninja air fryer, dishwasher and washing machine for all the practical bits – All guests are welcome to enjoy our peaceful onsite fishing lake – There are some brilliant beaches, pubs, and restaurants just a 10-minute drive away – Kids will love the play area just a short stroll from your door – There’s free private parking for 2 cars immediately outside your cottage, with extra space if needed - Additional vehicles must be parked either on the farm lane (not causing an obstruction) or in the village pub car park (next door). Good to know Designed for relaxed, sociable stays rather than loud parties Quiet hours: 11pm – 7am Lead guest must be 21+ and present for the duration of the stay. Maximum number of guests is 14, plus 2 infants in travel cots. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if you are over the maximum occupancy. 2 parking spaces are allocated immediately outside the cottage. Additional vehicles must be parked either on the farm lane (not causing an obstruction) or in the village pub car park (next door). Dogs are very welcome at Barnacre, and we know they’re part of the family 🐾 Up to two well-behaved dogs can join your stay (extra charge £25/dog per stay) with plenty of countryside and coastal walks nearby. We kindly ask that dogs stay off the furniture and remain on the ground floor. Guest access Guests will have the entire farmhouse to themselves.
