The space The Cabin: Wooden cabin sleeps 3 guests: a double bed on the mezzanine (accessed by ladder) and a single daybed downstairs that doubles as seating. The cabin features a kitchenette with fridge and hot plate for cooking meals and a radiator. Facilities & Access: A private bathroom is located 75m from the cabin (torch provided for evening visits). A separate utility kitchen near the main house has running water and washing facilities for dishes. We provide a 5-litre glass tankard of water plus bottles in your fridge upon arrival; refills are self-service from the tap. Outdoor Spaces: Enjoy your own private patio with furniture and a picnic bench. You also have full access to our shared 300m² orangery where you can relax in a hammock, read, or enjoy breakfast or coffee. The property includes a private forest with native woodland where you may go for walks and wander freely—wild deer, pheasants and hare are frequent visitors. Garden & Animals: You can explore our permaculture garden where we are growing seasonal produce completely organically. Depending on the time of year and what's in season, you may get fresh berries with breakfast! However, please don't help yourself or dig up vegetables without talking to us first :-) Four Indian Runner ducks inhabit the property (lovely and hilarious to watch); and we have two black cats who are friendly and enjoy interaction. House Rules: The main house, garage, and studio are private. The orangery is open from 8.30-20.00 and we ask you to please keep outside noise to a minimum after 20.00 as well. We welcome conversation and outdoor time, but this is a peaceful retreat for all. Guest access You have private access to your cabin for the duration of your stay, and 24-hour access to the bathroom and utility kitchen. You can roam freely in the garden and enjoy forest walks at any time. Private areas: The main house, garage, basement, and studio are all private. Respectful use of shared spaces: The orangery is available to you between 8.30- 20.00. After 20.00 we ask you to keep outside noise to a minimum. You're welcome to be outside - dusk is a great time to enjoy the bats flying around, and it is wonderful to stargaze after sunset or relax by a fire in the covered firepit - but this is our home and should be a peaceful retreat for all. Other things to note Parking: Available in a specified parking area only. You cannot drive all the way up to the cabin so there is a short walk (50m) from your car to where you're staying. Pets: We love animals and allow one well-behaved dog under the following conditions: • always kept on leash (our ducks will thank you) • NO POOP IN THE GARDEN 🫶 • Clean up after your dog. We reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog causes a disturbance. Smoking/Vaping: No smoking inside the cabin or any of the buildings, including the orangery. If you do smoke or vape outside, please be considerate of us (we do not smoke) and dispose of your waste in an appropriate bin. Accessibility: The ground-floor day bed is accessible to one-person. The double bed is on the mezzanine and up a ladder which may not be accessible to people with mobility issues. Local info: Within a 20 min drive you can visit Køge or Sorø lake. There are also buses at the end of our street (15 min walk). Within a 45 min drive you will be in central Copenhagen. Breakfast payment details: If you order breakfast you will need to settle your additional bill when you arrive. Payments accepted in cash or by card. Cabin manual/guidebook: We will provide instructions for heating, kitchen use, etc. in the cabin manual.
