A pet-free Scandinavian lodge for four with blush interiors, two en-suite bedrooms, countryside views and a private covered hot tub. The space Freyja is a beautifully appointed two-bedroom lodge designed for guests who want countryside calm, flexible sleeping arrangements and a little extra space to relax together. The heart of the lodge is the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. Striking gable-end windows frame the Yorkshire views and fill the space with natural light, while underfloor heating keeps the lodge comfortable throughout the year. The soft pink and blush interior palette gives Freyja a warm, elegant and relaxed feel. There are two spacious bedrooms, each with a super-king-size bed that can be configured as twin beds by arrangement. Both bedrooms have stylish en-suite bathrooms: one has a contemporary walk-in shower, while the other has a freestanding bath and separate shower, making Freyja a great choice for couples, friends or families who want comfort and privacy. The well-equipped kitchenette includes a small combi microwave/oven, dishwasher, four-ring induction hob, under-counter fridge, kettle, toaster and cafetière, plus crockery, glassware, cookware and useful self-catering essentials. There is also free Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, hairdryers, Skandinavisk toiletries, linen, towels and hot tub robes for four guests. Outside, Freyja has a private patio with outdoor dining furniture, charcoal BBQ and a jacuzzi-style hot tub sheltered by a stylish pergola. It’s a lovely space for morning coffee, long lunches, sunset drinks and relaxed evenings after exploring Richmond, Barnard Castle or the Yorkshire Dales. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of Freyja lodge, the private patio, covered hot tub, outdoor dining area and charcoal BBQ. There is on-site parking for one car. Parking for Freyja is located on a private road, with gravel steps leading down to the lodge, and there are also steps into the hot tub area. Guests can also enjoy the wider Greenbank Lodges setting, including the easy one-kilometre walking loop around the site. Other things to note Freyja is a pet-free lodge, ideal for guests who prefer a no-pets stay. Please note that Airbnb treats service animals separately from pets, so Airbnb’s assistance animal policy should be followed where applicable. A welcome hamper is included, with Polaroid camera film, playing cards, coffee, tea, crisps and milk. The Polaroid camera is provided for guest use during the stay and should remain in the lodge for future guests to enjoy. Freyja is single-storey inside, but access is not step-free. There are gravel steps from the parking area to the lodge, steps into the hot tub area, and both en-suite showers have a small step for access. The lodge is well suited to families, couples and friends, but the Greenbank Lodges FAQ notes that the two-bedroom lodges are less well suited to infants and that cots and highchairs are not provided.
