Femund Lodge – Cabin No. 2
Description
Femund Lodge offers simple accommodation, and is a fantastic starting point for walks in Femundsmarka and Gutulia National Parks. The place is built up by discoverer and survival expert Lars Monsen. During the season, the place has a staffed sports shop, and on some days with good weather, we open a kiosk on the terrace where you can buy burgers, pizza, and something to drink - full service. 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM. There is also the possibility to rent canoe and packraft in season. In the summer, the historic Fæmund II sails to Elgå. The space Femund Lodge cabin no. 2 is a cozy cabin with 1 double bed and 3 single beds in bunk beds. The cabin is efficiently heated with a modern wood-burning stove, and in addition, there is both electricity and a gas burner for simple cooking. There is also a small fridge, as well as a kettle available. A shared shower and toilet are available in the main building, and in addition there are three festival toilets and a traditional outdoor toilet on the property. Water is retrieved from the outdoor tap on the main building. This is well signposted with "WATER" on the house wall. During the high season, there is also a mini-kitchen available in the main building. In addition, there is a shared gas grill in the outdoor area. It comes with one firewood bag per day at no extra charge. Usually, this is plenty of firewood for a day. Other things to note Let us know if you need to rent bed linen/towels for NOK 200 per person when booking. If you bring your own (sleeping bag or sheet bag), towels are included in the total price. Also, please let us know if you are bringing one or more pets when you book so we can prepare for this.
