Croft View Cottage, Peak District village, Foolow

Croft View Cottage, Foolow is a spacious, traditional, stone built, cosy cottage with a log burner and a large garden. It is located in the picturesque village of Foolow in the centre of the Derbyshire Peak District National Park. The area is popular for walking and cycling and the cottage is an ideal base for a family holiday being close to Chatsworth House, Castleton caverns and the National Trust estate of Longshaw. The space Croft View Cottage has three bedrooms which sleep a total of five guests plus a baby in a cot. There is a spacious family bathroom as well as a downstairs WC cloakroom, always handy for families.There are two sitting rooms to spread out in as well as a lovely, light kitchen diner with part-glazed roof which opens onto the rear private garden. There is a separate office/playroom with full sized desk, desk lamps, wi fi ; alternatively the room can be used as a playroom with its separate play area with toy shelves and play table. We have many toys and games for indoor and outdoor play, storage for bikes and a gas BBQ. There is a large garden which has a patio area with furniture and a garden swing. We are well equipped for babies and small children and can provide portable stair gates, a cot, highchair, bed rail and steam steriliser on request. A welcome pack is provided as are essential basics such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, cling film etc. We have several walking books and OS maps for the area. Guest access There is a level entrance into the cottage but please note that there are steps up to the garden and that there are changes of level within the cottage on both the ground floor and the first floor. There is roadside parking outside the cottage for a maximum of two vehicles. Other things to note Croft View Cottage has 4 stars, a Gold accolade and "Families Welcome" from VisitEngland and is inspected annually to meet exacting quality standards. Please note that we operate Friday to Friday bookings and welcome short breaks of 3 or 4 nights falling between these days outside of peak holiday times when priority is given to weekly bookings.
