Nanny's Place

Set in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside, facing the Grimsthorpe Estate deer park, you will find Nanny’s Place. Found within easy reach of the quaint historic market towns of Stamford, Bourne and Oakham. Nanny’s Place is a 3 bedroomed semi-detached house with large gardens, front and rear. There are agricultural fields to 3 sides. Bytham Spinney, a free adventure playground, is a 10 minute walk away, and there are many other attractions to suit all ages within a 30 minute drive. The space Downstairs is a breakfast kitchen, a generous living room and a conservatory with a large dining table. There is also a downstairs toilet with a walk in, accessible shower, and a laundry room. The three bedrooms consist of a good sized master with views to the front over the deer park and fields to the rear. It has a king sized bed. Our small ‘Jungle’ room overlooks the deer park at the front. It has a double bed. Our final ‘Spice Girls’ room has 2 full sized single high sleepers and a small double bed. Please be mindful of the height of the beds and only allocate to children of an appropriate age to use them. There is a bathroom upstairs with a shower over the bath. Bed linen and towels are NOT included in this rate - please bring your own. There are duvets and pillows you can bring your own covers for. There are many attractions suiting all ages and tastes within a 30 minute journey and lots of public footpaths close by. The area is well used by cyclists and permit fishing is available in the area. Railway enthusiasts might like to know that the Mallard broke the world speed record for steam locomotives ( 3rd July 1938) just 2 miles south on the then LNER line which passes a field away behind the house. Night visitors to the garden include hedgehogs, badgers and foxes, and many different birds can be seen and heard in our own mini spinney at the bottom of the garden. Guest access There is a static caravan in the grounds which the owners frequent and may be in use during your stay. This will not affect you having full access to all of the outdoor space. Other things to note There are limited toiletries and cupboard staples you are welcome to use.
