Seven Crows
Description
A wood-clad house nestled in mature woodland on the Welsh side of the Wye Valley, with direct access to forest walking routes. The open-plan living area features a double-height ceiling and wood burner. One double bedroom, plus a mezzanine with two single beds. A secluded patio sits among the trees, a natural spot for evening meals or a leisurely morning, drinking coffee and listening to birdsong. The space Step into the porch, hang up your coat and kick off your shoes. There's a small freezer and shelving for luggage so you can get settled without clutter following you in. The heart of the house is an open-plan living space with double-height ceilings, exposed beams, and a dramatic glazed gable end. Bifold doors open wide onto a generous sheltered patio, blurring the line between inside and out. The wood burner is the focal point of the room, set into the wall radiating warmth throughout the space. Kitchen, dining and living flow naturally into one another. A great space for a quiet evening in, gathering around a meal. Off the main living area you'll find a well equipped shower room with a family sized sink, rain shower, bidet and toilet, plus a practical utility room with washing machine and hoover: the small things that make a longer stay more comfortable. The main double bedroom has been designed with those valuing deep sleep in mind, a calm, serene space with plenty of storage space. Up the winding stairs, our favorite spot is a light-filled space tucked into the eaves with plenty of head height. A desk and chair sit ready for anyone struck by the urge to write or needing a quiet hour with their laptop. Two single beds nestle under the roof line beside a picture-frame window with a blackout blinds. From up here you get a bird's eye view into the living area below, which gives the whole space a lovely sense of connection without losing any of its privacy. Guest access When you pull into the drive, park in the marked spot on the left of the drive. Access to the Annexe of Seven Crows is totally private but the drive is shared with the owners.
