For a longer adventure, head inland to walk the legendary Hadrian’s Wall or take a day trip to the picturesque Scottish Borders. The space Once the village store, Brough’s, the house was converted into two dwellings over 20 years ago. This semi-detached stone and brick property now offers a modern, comfortable interior with plenty of character. The main entrance opens into a spacious yet cosy lounge–diner with sofas, Wi-Fi, and a Smart TV with digital channels, plus books and games. The open-plan dining area seats four and leads to a well-equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, washing machine, and microwave. Upstairs you’ll find a twin bedroom, a shared family bathroom with over-bath shower, and a master bedroom with an ultra-cosy double bed. Outside, there’s a small front area and an enclosed private yard to the rear with a dining space—perfect for relaxed evenings. A highchair and cot are available for a small charge (please bring your own cot bedding). Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the house with a small enclosed back yard, including outdoor table and chairs, and a semi enclosed front yard.
