Sunset Cottage-Privacy, Views, Wi-Fi, New Kitchen

Sunset cottage is on a private hilltop bordered by cow pastures, hayfields, & forest. Stunning views from a large front porch lovely for morning coffee or a glorious sunset. Deer & wildlife are everywhere. Situated well off a lightly-travelled gravel road with broad band internet-a rare find, perfect for vacation or work. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable, quaint furnishings, 5 miles to I-81. Staunton & Lexington are 20 minutes away. Nearby wineries, breweries & more. The space Enjoy the front porch, yard, outdoor grill, fire pit and adjacent pasture with mowed walking path around the perimeter. Hiking/walking on Davis & Goose Creek Road is beautiful but strenuous. Check out the guides and resources in the cottage binder for suggestions on hiking trails and attractions. The sunset views are magnificent, so plan your day to end up on the front porch if you can. We are family friendly, but the cottage is not equipped with child safety latches. The terrain outdoors can be tricky until you get used to it. You are in the middle of farm land and forest. The animals don't see many people and may not run away. They are pretty and cute for sure, but they are not tame. Guest access All the indoor spaces are for guest use except one small locked closet in the smallest bedroom. Guests are welcome to enjoy the yard and adjacent field with mowed walking path. Avoid the cows should they appear on the fence line. We don't want them to learn to approach people for treats. Other things to note The bed in the smallest room is a daybed with a trundle under, not bunks as listed. Kids love this room, but some adults may find the trundle a challenge to rise up from. The mattresses are firm and lightly used mostly by children so they sleep well.
