Description

Historic house in an idyllic spot at the foot of the Zuiderzeedijk. The house has been renovated, 100m2 of living space with old details such as tiles from Royal Tichelaar. Large dining table and a separate sitting room with TV. A house for socializing with family & friends. Close to restaurants and stores. Beach within cycling and walking distance. Beautiful sunsets over the nearby nature reserve on the IJsselmeer. Explore the Eleven Cities | day trip to Vlieland | or museums: e.g. the Planetarium. The space Nice house with lots of living space. Newly furnished with two double bedrooms upstairs and two single bedrooms and a spacious, bright landing. From Bartsboekje /historical-house-in-makkum/ August 13, 2021, by Jorien Thijs. HISTORIC HOUSE IN MAKKUM, FRIESLAND Friesland forever boppe! Just cross the Afsluitdijk and then, pats-boom, peace and quiet. But also lovely harbor towns, the best vintage finds and one cool coffee shop after another that opens its doors. Staying for a while? Just do it. And then, for example, in this historic cottage at the bottom of the Makkum seawall. A pearl, we think. Makkum it is. Perfect location, between favorite cities Harlingen, Workum and Sneek. Right on the water and near the Afsluitdijk. Loved by the water sportsmen among us, but also by the Friesland fans who come for the relaxed atmosphere. Only Makkum Beach… mwah, not our kind of resort. The alternative is much more fun and cozy. This vacation home at the bottom of the sea dike of the historic town is exactly what you are looking for. Makkum is too beautiful to miss. The cottage has been recently completely renovated: completely renovated, sleek in the paint and a nice kitchen. Craftsmanship, you can see that. Not so strange, because the owners are also responsible for the construction of tall ship Wylde Swan, where you see elements of it come back. Both inside and outside, the place has been completely refreshed, resulting in 100m2 of living space and a small but nice garden behind. The cottage has two double bedrooms and two small but oh so cozy single bedrooms. On request, a baby cot slash box can be placed. Fortunately, the old details have been preserved during the major renovation. In fact, the house exudes a rich history. Beautiful wooden beams, Frisian tiles from Tichelaar on the floor. And then we haven't even talked about the place yet. On the Makkum dike, where you climb over the fence to look at the boats. The nicest moment of the day: when the sun turns the sky pink in the evening, the wind begins to blow gently, and you start your evening walk along the dike and among the sheep. It doesn't get any more Frisian than that. Guest access Parking in front of the door with an exemption for one car. Other cars can park nearby at the harbor or at the supermarket.
