It is 20 miles long and stretches from Blairsville, GA almost to the NC border. Approximately 70% of it's shoreline is US Forest Service and therefore undeveloped so although there are many homes and boats on the lake you can often find a cove all your own for a peaceful swim. Enjoy a day of fishing for Largemouth, Smallmouth, Spotted, or Striped Bass, Black Crappie, Yellow Perch, or Catfish. Lake Levels are controlled by the Tennessee Valley Authority & fluctuate based on time of year, rainfall, flood control & power generation. This is typical of most lakes in the North Georgia Mountains. Lake Nottely is usable year round, but our dock is usable from approximately April through early September most years.
