Up the hill, at the end of the road, my home is modest and quiet. I am close to the coast and away from the fog. Stars, big sun & inland sea breezes = everyday. Big Sur, Carmel, Mntry Bay Aquarium, Pacific Grove, Tassajara, etc. are all day trips from here. I am 15 minutes from the coast. Up the Carmel River Canyon. First north Canyon dividing Big Sur from Carmel, Pebble, PG, etc. Carmel Valley is a kind respite to the Coast 1 vibes. Dramatic views of the Santa Lucia Mountains here in Carmel Valley. 15 minutes from Hwy. 1. Close enough to access everything we love, and also on a quiet mountainside away from traffic. Super sunny (south facing) exposure with views for miles. A private bedroom and bathroom are available for you in my home. It has a queen bed, large closet and plenty of windows. You will have covered parking and use of the kitchen, refrigerator, pots and pans, etc. My home is extremely private yet only 2 minutes from Carmel Valley Village where there is fine dining, wine tasting rooms, food shopping, etc. I am 15 minutes to Carmel-by-the-sea, 20 minutes to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, 30 minutes from the Big Sur area, and 20 minutes to Point Lobos. The benefits of staying in Carmel Valley are that we typically live free of the fog that can cool down the Monterey Bay very quickly. Stars are very bright here at night. Plenty of wildlife move through the property, which is full of mature oak trees. This is a special place that I am sure you will enjoy. Being a local to the area, I am happy to give suggestions on dining, private beaches, beautiful drives, and general tourist information. main entrance Single level home. I am very happy to share information about the area, If you seek privacy and less interaction, I can provide that as well... Quiet and secluded yet only 12 miles to the Pacific Coast Highway. There is a bus stop 5 minutes walk from my house. $ 2.25 will get you to Carmel or Monterey. You can walk to the village in minutes...with some traffic for 100 yards... Prior to traveling to my home, it is best to review your **itinerary** in the Air B & B site as this is where I have posted detailed driving instructions. As I am in the country a bit, my instructions will make your arrival a breeze.
