The space The Advocate belongs to the Makeka Family and was built in homage to the Late Snr Advocate Thabo R. Makeka K.C. The family home is one of the oldest residences in the area and is not joined by The Advocate. The building shares the street exclusively with one neighbor Ntate Qhobela and is adjacent to the Ratjomose Primary School. This allows the building to literally be hidden in plain sight. The building was designed by celebrated architect and son of the late Advocate Mokena Makeka. Al furnishings in the unit are family heirlooms collected during the life of the Late Advocate when he served as the Ambassador of Lesotho to the UN and Ambassador of Lesotho to The United States. The Building boasts a unique contemporary design and offers a home away from home for all manner of traveler. There are two units in the complex with each unit being a two bed roomed self catering unit with a living area and unique views of Maseru. Each unit is different in its own way but offers our guests a homely and enjoyable setting where memories can be made. Our beds are draped with the finest linen of feather and down and each piece in the units was handpicked by H.E. Felleng Makeka, the wife and partner of the late Advocate. The kitchens are fully kitted with a gas and electric stove sourced from the UK. The units share tenancy with Makeka Design Lab and will soon share the space with the rooftop centerpiece, PinsnStripes Lounge and Bistro which is still under construction.
