Description

Set in a lovely semi-rural location...... The space Walks from the doorstep straight into the Peak District and only 22 minutes by train to Manchester City Centre. Bed and breakfast at Robin Cottage built in the 18th Centuary. Located in a semi-rural setting surrounded by fields, sheep and horses. The Trans Pennine Trail,(Sustrans route 68 Pennine cycleway) runs by the side of the cottage. The Peak district and its National Parks are located on the doorstep. Near by Broadbottom only 10 minutes walk away hosts a few take aways, a pub that serves food Thursday to Sunday, train station and garden centre with a great cafe and local produce on sale. Charlesworth hosts a few local grocery shops, a pub that serves food daily, and a horse riding centre. There is easy access to trails and footpaths around the local countryside many of which lead to the Peak district National Park. Manchester city centre is only a 22 minute train journey away. The city is great for shopping, restaurants, museums, theatre and clubs and pubs. Combine a country holiday, walking, mountain biking, horse riding or just relaxing and enjoying the culture and the dazzling night life of Manchester. Offers a basic room with a double bed, clean linen, towels and free wifi connection. Set in the attic so please watch your head if you are tall, the ceiling is low!. The attic does not have a door but the room occupies the entire 3rd floor space, with a winding staircase leading up to it. Please do not book if this may cause a problem for you. Shared family bathroom with shower and bath and separate toilet room. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom. A simple 'help yourself' breakfast of tea or coffee and cereal is provided. If you require anything in addition to this then you are welcome to bring your own. I am normally quite a sociable person and love to chat when I am free, I would be more than happy to share my knowledge of the area (I was a member of the local Mountain Rescue Team for 5 years) and help in any way I can if I have the time. Manchester city centre is only a 22 minute train journey away. Tickets cost around £7 return. The closest main line train station is Broadbottom which is 10/15 minutes walk away and a bus stop is located opposite my house. Manchester Airport is a 30 minute drive away from my home. It is also possible to get from Manchester Airport to Broadbottom by train, changing trains at Manchester Piccadilly. Non smokers only please. This is not a Hotel or Guest house or entire house. Please be mindful and respectful that this is my home where I live. I love inviting people to stay with me but if you are hoping for a Hotel experience then please look elsewhere. Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me and ask. Guest access Front door access. During your stay I am normally quite a sociable person and love to chat when I am free, I would be more than happy to share my knowledge of the area (I was a member of the local Mountain Rescue Team for 5 years) and help in any way I can if I have the time. Other things to note Please remove your outdoor shoes at the front door and leave in the porch. Strictly do NOT use the extractor fan above the cooker or gas hob due to health and safety reasons. Strictly No Smoking in the house. Strictly no use of electrical heaters in the bedroom for health and safety issues, please ask for the central heating to be turned up if you are cold. Please CLOSE all windows, turn off all lights and LOCK the front door before you leave each day. I share my home with Harry my Whippet who is very clean and friendly but young so can be quite excitable. From time to time I have my neighbours dogs staying when they go on holiday. I teach maths for A1 Maths Tuition from home, this is mainly online but occasionally I may have a student with me. Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me and ask. A simple 'help yourself' Breakfast consisting of fruit juice, tea or coffee and cereal. If you require anything in addition from my fridge/freezer please ask before taking. Alternatively you are welcome to bring your own but I ask that you please do not use the gas hob for cooking and consume food in the dining room only.
