The space The Stables are located on the right, upon entry to Gaunts House via Petersham Lane. The guest bedrooms are located on the first floor. The converted Stable Block features 14 private rooms (a mix of ensuite and shared bathroom options). For your security and comfort, every room has its own lock. Surrounded by trees, you can enjoy the morning bird song or spot deer, bunnies, and pheasants roaming the lawn. Outdoor seats to sit in the courtyard, relax, eat and enjoy the sun. Very near the kitchen. Arrival & Amenities: We look forward to greeting you personally, providing your key, and showing you to your room. Your shared sanctuary—the common room, kitchenette, and lounge—is located just across the courtyard on the ground floor. Free onsite parking is conveniently located directly opposite the Stable Block. Nature at your Doorstep: The estate's walking trail begins right at your doorstep. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the grounds as you pass the pond and the Roundhouse, continuing down the track through the woods and around our private lake. Maps provided in your room Guest access During your stay, you get access to your own private room, a shared common room and access to walk around the estate on a dedicated walking trail. Walk through our ancient Ashton Woods and around our Lake. Your stay includes access to the world's first Star-Henge: Our iconic stone circle site, ideal for stargazing or meditation, created by Don Conreaux, a series of peace garden installations. Guests are able to park vehicles in the designed parking area, opposite the Stable building (left of the main track after entering the estate via Petersham lane, the Stables are on the right). Your Room & Breakfast Each of our 14 individually keyed rooms is designed for a restful night’s sleep with comfortable bedding and an in-room kettle for tea and coffee. The Guest Lounge & Kitchenette The social heart of the Stable Block. Relax, dine, or prepare light meals in our quaint communal space featuring: Comfortable sofa and a book collection. Workspace: A dining table ideal for meals or remote work. Kitchenette: Equipped with a guest fridge, kettle, and hot plate for simple meal prep. Please note: Guests cannot access the main Georgian house - 'Gaunts House' and only have acess to the designated walking map, not the wider estate grounds. Guests are asked to please keep to the Airbnb permissive walking trail. Thank you for choosing to retreat with us in nature, we hope you enjoy your stay. During your stay Guests can access the Stable Office for assistance during the weekdays, which is usually open between 9-5pm. If the office is closed, guests can call and/or email the main office. Emergency Contact details will be shared after the booking has been confirmed. We will greet you upon arrival, to give you your key and to answer any questions. A team live nearby in case of any emergencies. Other things to note Please note, the rooms are located on the first floor and are only accessible via stairs. There is no disabled access.
