The backyard is very large and long and filled with low maintenance perennials, mostly hostas. There is an outdoor playhouse with seating...the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine when it is raining. Totally sealed, no bugs. Hatteras hammock for two in backyard. The house was built in 1947 so the stairs to the upstairs are narrow. There is a handrail on both sides for your safety. The house is located on the east side of Lansing within minutes of the highways Interstates 127 and 96. It is a great walking neighborhood. It is a 45 minute walk either to downtown Lansing or East Lansing. We have a farmer's market in walking distance. Close to north west side of MSU campus. The campus is over 2,000 developed acres with over 500 buildings, over 50,000 students. Three blocks from the major bus line. If you're a runner or want a nice walk, the Lansing River Trail, a 10+ mile trail system, is close by. There is a top notch restaurant within walking distance (see guidebook), The Soup Spoon. Locally-roasted coffee beans and real local maple syrup with your pancakes. I love my home. It is my sanctuary where I feel peace and serenity and look forward to sharing it with you, trusting you will feel the same. Love to have multi-month guests, but one night stays are welcome, especially when they involve repeated one night stays. Michigan Flyer bus transports guests from Detroit Metro to Lansing. Great walking and running neighborhood, two blocks from library and yoga classes that are just $2. Very close to highway and shopping center. Very close to MSU and downtown Lansing. Bus is three blocks away, excellent public transit. Lansing has wonderful music festivals!
