Located near the first capital of Maryland, St. Mary's city, historic Colonial and Civil War sites and memorial, and the United States Naval Test Center, St. Mary's county offers something for everyone. This is an excellent sandy beach for SUP and kayaks. Fish off the beach or paddle out into the river. Local marinas offer boat launching facilities. A list of near by restaurants, markets, shops, hiking trails and museums are provided.
