Our wood fire hot tub by Royal Tubs is yours for the duration of your stay. Please ask if you need a hand and we can try and get the hot tub started for you before your arrival, whenever possible. If you haven’t used a wood fire hot tub before, they are pretty simple to you. The hot tub will have been filled with fresh water before your arrival. To heat the water you start a fire in the log burner and keep the fire burning until the hot tub reaches the desired temperature. Around 36-38 degrees is recommended. Keep the hot tub lid on during the heating process as the lid is thermal and helps to keep the heat in. When the tub is ready carefully remove the lid and rest against the hot tub side. Please ensure to return the lid when you are finished using the hot tub, the lid will retain most of the heat. Leaving the hot tub uncovered over night can damage the filter. The hot tub should never be drained whilst the fire is still burning. The site has 2 shepherds huts located on different levels for privacy. Phoenix and The Hurlers. If you have a larger group of family, friends or 2 couples. Check out our other shepherds hut to see if we have availability or send us a message.
